GAME OF THE NIGHT
#17 Syracuse vs. #7 Connecticut
This game should go down to the wire as both teams are coming off losses.
Syracuse is desperate for a win. The Orangemen have lost four in a row and a win tonight in Hartford could get them back on track. Connecticut is coming off a double overtime one point loss to Louisville.
UPSET CITY?
Maryland vs. #5 Duke
It's going to be interesting to see how the Blue Devils bounce back from the beat down they took to St. John's last week. I'm sure the Devils aren't hitting the panic button, but Duke will be in another hostile environment Wednesday in College Park. Duke won the first matchup against Maryland this season by seven points. Maryland is on an impressive three game winning streak, including back to back road wins against Virginia and Georgia Tech.
BIG EAST SHOWDOWN
#12 Villanova vs. Marquette
If Villanova loses tonight they'll almost be in the same boat as Syracuse. The Wildcats are coming off a three point loss at home to Georgetown, which was their second consecutive loss. For Marquette, this would be a huge win if they can pull it off. A Marquette win combined with a Syracuse loss would put Marquette at 6-4 and tied for third place in the Big East. The Golden Eagles should have lots of confidence after beating Syracuse on Saturday.
